Antonin Vojtik, a former ISRA World Champion, paid a visit to Luton Slot Car Club before returning to Prague. Antonin had been competing in the 1:24 British Open Championship Nationals at Loughborough University over the August Bank Holiday weekend. One of a number of Czech and other overseas competitors, Antonin won Open Group 12 and took the silver in Production Saloon.
Lent a car by SLOT’s contributing editor Richard Hills, Antonin soon recalled the track and ended the evening 3rd overall in the A final. Dare we mention that Richard went further in the B final with the same car?!
