At Car Fest North this weekend Scalextric is unveiling its revolutionary Arc One race control system. Scalextric explain that Arc One “…allows users to wirelessly create and manage races with a handheld smart device, such as a smartphone or tablet. Download the ARC app, then connect your device via Bluetooth to the new ARC powerbase, unlocking unique features and control of your races. Personalise your race by selecting features such as race type, driver names and number of laps. Customise and save your race settings and car setup, before you head out on the track to test your skills and challenge your opponent”.
Not only that, but you can “use the interactive ARC app to create your own Scalextric garage, listing your slot car collection, track pieces and accessories. See available layout options, post your race stats on Facebook or Twitter – the possibilities are endless”!
Car Fest North takes place at Oulton Park racing circuit from today, Friday 1 August until Sunday.
A charity event, Car Fest is “… a dream team of cars, music, food, family and ultimately some good honest fun, all in aid of BBC Children in Need. From the imagination of Chris Evans, CarFest was born, creating a world of festival madness like no other”!
